Abstract
The research is entitled Political Communication Messages in the 2024 Purbalingga Regional Election Campaign (Semiotic Analysis of Roland Barthes on the Instagram Account @relawanmasfahmi). The purpose of this study was to determine the political communication messages conveyed by the candidate pair for regent and deputy regent Fahmi-Dimas through the Instagram account @relawanmasfahmi. In this study, researchers used a qualitative descriptive method with the Roland Barthes Semiotics approach with a constructivism paradigm. The theory used in this research is the semiotic theory proposed by Roland Barthes, about how signs form the denotation level, connotation level, and myth level. The results of this study show that there are overt political messages that can be seen directly or denotation, political messages that are shown indirectly (implied) but still meaningful or connotation, and there are myths conveyed through the @relawanmasfahmi account, namely campaigns carried out through “subtle” modern strategies with fun activities such as soccer fun matches, motorbikes together, and bringing in multi-genre singers and not leaving local culture, are considered to be more easily accepted by the community.
