Implementation Of Good Governance Principles on Employee Performance at the Pahlawan Village Office Binjai City
Abstract
Binjai City has 5 sub-districts consisting of 37 villages, where this research focuses on one of the villages in Binjai City. Pahlawan Village is the researcher's research site regarding the application of good governance principles to employee performance. This research aims to see some of the principles of good governance that are carried out by Villages employees properly, where there are several indicators related to this research, namely focusing on indicators of responsiveness, accountability, transparency and fairness. Pahlawan Village is an extension of the government to the community regarding services, which are regulated in Binjai Mayor Regulation no. 48 of 2023 concerning Village Community Institutions.
The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative research method with data collection techniques, namely interviews, documentation and observation. In this research, of course, it involves employees of the Pahlawan village and the Pahlawan village community. The theory used in this research is Sinambel's Theory (2008: 51) which states that the quality of good governance can be achieved if the government and other public agencies as a whole are able to be open to new ideas and ideas and responsive to community interests. In line with the good performance of employees at the Pahlawan village office, it will improve the quality of the agency and will increase public trust in the government.
The results of this study serve as constructive criticism and recommendations from researchers to the Pahlawan urban village office as a public service related to developing policies or programmes and procedures that are more concerned with the community and improving services.
