The waters of the Malacca Strait are one of Indonesia's significant marine areas, where squid (Uroteuthis sp.) is a key fishery commodity. This study aims to analyze the distribution of squid (Uroteuthis sp.) during the transitional season in the Malacca Strait. The research was conducted from July to September 2024, focusing on the influence of oceanographic parameters such as sea surface temperature, salinity, and chlorophyll-a on squid catches. The methods used included direct field data collection and satellite imagery analysis using SeaDAS and ArcGIS software. The results indicate that squid distribution is influenced by oceanographic conditions, with the highest catch recorded in July (27.3 kg) and the lowest in September (19.4 kg). Furthermore, regression analysis revealed a strong relationship between oceanographic parameters and catch yields, where sea surface temperature and chlorophyll-a had a positive contribution, while salinity had a negative correlation. This study is expected to provide valuable information for fishermen in determining optimal fishing grounds.en_US
