    Abstract
    In Indonesia, quite a lot of passion fruit seeds are produced, so these passion fruit seeds can be used as raw material for making fatty acids. One source of passion fruit seeds is West Sumatra. So far passion fruit seeds are only disposed of as waste which can cause environmental pollution. However, passion fruit seeds have many ingredients that can be utilized. According to statistical data, the total production of passion fruit throughout Indonesia in 2020 is 53,319 tons. In its utilization, the part used from the passion fruit is the fruit flesh. The part that is often used as waste is the passion fruit seeds, while the passion fruit seeds have a high enough oil content that can be utilized. The oil content in passion fruit seeds consists of several fatty acids. So that passion fruit seeds can be used as raw material for vegetable oil. Predesign of the Fatty Acid Factory with passion fruit seed oil as raw material is planned to produce with a production capacity of 1,500 tons/year and operate for 330 days a year. The factory location is planned in Bungus District, West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The land area required for the establishment of the factory is 13,279.2 m2. The results of the analysis of the economic aspects obtained are as follows:  Total Investment capital = Rp. 151.214.071.358,00  Production cost = Rp. 53.010.435.292,00  Sales proceeds = Rp. 129.373.282.215,00  Net profit = Rp. 50.623.128.203,00  Profit Margin = 56,07 %  Break Even Point = 34,11 %  Return on Investment = 33,34 %  Pay Out Time = 2 tahun 29 hari  Return on Network = 47,62 %  Internal Rate of Return = 43,112 % ix Based on the results of economic analysis, it can be concluded that this factory using fatty acids from passion fruit seed oil is fesible to be established.
