Inventory Control with the Economic Order Quantity Method to Optimize Supporting Raw Material Supply App Pl Panel (Case Study: PT. Rahmat Kurnia Abadi)
Abstract
This research aims to provide an overview of LPG raw material inventory control carried out by PT. Rahmat Kurnia Abadi and to find out the optimal number of orders for LPG raw materials, order frequency, amount of safety stock and reorder time using the EOQ method. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive research. The data analysis method used is inventory calculation using the EOQ method which is processed using Microsoft Excel and a calculator. According to research using the EOQ method, the optimal number of raw material orders in 2021 is 44 units, and the optimal number of raw material orders in 2022 is 51 units. For 2021 and 2022, orders for LPG raw materials are made three times a year, and a safety stock of 12 units is available. After the total LPG stock reaches 32 units in 2021 and 41 units in 2022, reorders will be made. The EOQ method provides more optimal results in calculating LPG raw material inventory costs compared to the policy implemented by PT. Rahmat Kurnia Abadi.
