Gambaran Pengetahuan tentang Kekerasan Seksual Pada Anak Usia Sekolah Dasar di Sd Negeri 064969 Medan

Abstract

Sexual violence is defined as any sexual act, attempt to perform a sexual act, comment, or suggestion for sexual behavior that is either intentional or unintentional, as well as acts of coercion to engage in sexual activities. In Indonesia, cases of sexual violence continue to rise each year, affecting not only adults but also teenagers and children. A lack of knowledge among children is one of the factors contributing to the occurrence of sexual violence. This study aims to assess the level of knowledge about sexual violence prevention among elementary school students at SD Negeri 064969 Medan. A descriptive quantitative research design was employed, using a questionnaire as the measurement tool. Data analysis was conducted using univariate analysis. The study population consisted of fifth and sixth-grade students, with a total of 58 respondents selected through total sampling techniques. The results showed that the majority of respondents had good knowledge (84.5%), followed by sufficient knowledge (13.8%), and poor knowledge (1.7%). Most respondents were 11 years old (37.9%) and predominantly female (67.2%). In conclusion, most respondents demonstrated good knowledge regarding sexual violence prevention. These findings are expected to serve as a foundation for enhancing public health awareness and as an input for the development of further knowledge, particularly concerning children's awareness of sexual violence.
