Tuberculosis (TB) poses a serious threat to public health in Indonesia,
particularly due to its high prevalence among the productive-age population
and economically disadvantaged communities. This condition impacts social
and economic well-being, necessitating effective intervention efforts. The
government issued Presidential Regulation No. 67 of 2021, emphasizing a
community-based TB elimination strategy. Yayasan Mentari Meraki Asa
Medan plays a key role in implementing this program. This study employs a
qualitative descriptive method using in-depth interviews, observations, and
documentation. The key informant is the Sub Recipient (SR) Manager of
Yayasan Mentari Meraki Asa North Sumatra. Primary informants include
Program Monitoring Evaluation Learning (PMEL) staff, TB cadres, and TB
patients or community members. Additional informants are family members
of TB patients receiving assistance from TB cadres. The findings indicate that
the program includes health cadre training, contact investigation, community
education, and patient support. Based on David C. Korten's implementation
model, the program's success depends on the alignment between the program,
implementing organization, and target group. However, challenges such as
social stigma, low community participation, and limited healthcare access
persist. Therefore, strengthening community involvement, increasing
government policy support, and fostering broader collaboration with
stakeholders are crucial to achieving the 2030 TB elimination target.
