    Abstract
Okra fruit (Abelmoschus esculentus L.) from the Malvaceae family has seeds that are thought to have flavonoid secondary metabolite compounds and have antioxidant activity that can be utilized as a preparation for face toner formulations. This study aims to isolate and utilize okra seeds as antioxidants. Phytochemical screening test results were positive for flavonoids in various extracts and isolates except n-hexane extract. The results of ethyl acetate fractionation were separated by column chromatography and purified by preparative thin layer chromatography to obtain a yellow amorphous solid of 10 mg with an Rf price of 0.44: 0,44. Antioxidant activity was tested using DPPH (1,1 diphenyl-2-picrylhydrazyl) method with UV-vis spectrophotometer (maximum wavelength 517 nm). Sample concentration variations were 6.25; 12.5; 25; 50 and 100 µg/mL. The antioxidant activity of ethyl acetate extract of okra seed showed an IC50 value of 40.90 µg/mL, while for each face toner formulation: toner + BHT, toner + okra seed extract, trademark toner has antioxidant activity with IC50 values respectively: 85.67 µg/mL, 88.79 µg/mL, 105.69 µg/mL. UVVis spectrophotometer analysis with methanol solvent showed two absorption peaks with wavelengths (λmax) of 357 nm and 253 nm. Infrared spectrophotometer (FT-IR) showed the presence of O-H, C=O ketone, C=C aromatic, C-H and C-O-C groups. Proton core magnetic resonance spectrophotometer (¹H- NMR) showed the presence of protons H-6, H-8, H-2' & H-6', CH3, CH2 and O-CH3 Liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) has confirmed the presence of 3-OH substituted flavonol flavonoid compounds. The 3-OH-substituted flavonol compound has the molecular formula C19H18O7 with a molecular weight of 361 g/mol. From the spectrum analysis, it is concluded that the isolated compound is a flavonoid compound with a 3-OHsubstituted flavonol group, namely 3-OH substituted flavonol
