The background for this research is based on the phenomenon occurring at the research location, namely the role of the Golkar Party's political power in the 2024 Presidential and Vice-Presidential Election in Medan city. This field research uses a qualitative approach. The research was conducted at the DPD Golkar Party office in Medan city, JL. Jend Gatot Subroto No. 173-175, Petisah Tengah, Medan Petisah District, Medan City, North Sumatra. Data collection techniques included interviews, informant selection, and documentation. The discussion method used is descriptive analysis, which systematically describes the field situation. The research results on the Golkar Party's political power in the 2024 Presidential and Vice-Presidential Election in Medan city show that the Golkar Party demonstrated significant political strength. The wide support from various community organizations (ormas) and a solid party structure were key factors in this success. Intensive campaign strategies, including active socialization, mobilization through legislative candidates, and the use of social media, effectively increased support and popularity for the party as well as the presidential and vice-presidential candidates number 2 among the people of Medan City. Success in the legislative election also indicated the significant political strength of the Golkar Party in winning the 2024 Presidential and Vice-Presidential Election in Medan city.en_US
