dc.description.abstract | This study aims to examine the role of self-efficacy in the future orientation of 12thgrade students at SMA Swasta Bersama Berastagi. Self-efficacy refers to an
individual's belief in their ability to achieve expected goals. Future orientation is
the ability of an individual to think about, plan, and prepare for the future. This
research employs a quantitative approach with a simple linear regression analysis
technique. The sample consists of 102 students selected using a saturated sampling
technique. Data were collected using a self-efficacy scale based on Bandura’s
aspects of self-efficacy and a future orientation scale developed by Winurini (2021),
both utilizing a Likert scale. The analysis results indicate that self-efficacy has a
positive role in future orientation, with a significance value of 0.003 (< 0.05). The
obtained regression equation is Y = 42.020 + 0.143X. The coefficient of
determination (R²) is 0.087, meaning that self-efficacy contributes 8.7% to future
orientation, while the remaining percentage is influenced by other factors outside
