Lake Toba is one of the largest lake ecosystems in Indonesia that plays an important role in people's lives, both as a water source, tourist attraction, and fisheries cultivation. However, increasing community activities around the lake have caused a decline in water quality due to pollution from various sources, such as domestic waste, agriculture, and fisheries. This study aims to analyze water quality and pollution status in Lake Toba. The method used in determining the location is Purposive sampling which is divided into 21 stations based on different characteristics. The test results show that the waters of Lake Toba are in the good status category - moderately polluted. Where good status refers to the results based on the NSF-WQI (National Sanitation Foundation - Water Quality Index), CCME (Canadial Council Minister of the Environment) and MWQI (Malaysia Water Quality Index) methods, while polluted status refers to the results based on the IP (Pollution Index) and CCME (Canadial Council Minister of the Environment) methods.en_US
