Nursing students often face academic pressures and clinical practice demands that can disrupt their sleep quality. Such disturbances may impact their physical and mental health, as well as their academic performance. This study aims to describe the sleep quality of nursing students at Universitas Sumatera Utara. A descriptive quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach was employed. The sample consisted of 108 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using the Indonesian-modified and previously validated version of the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The results showed that the majority of respondents (85 students or 78.7%) had poor sleep quality, while only 23 students (21.3%) had good sleep quality. These findings indicate that most nursing students at Universitas Sumatera Utara experience poor sleep quality. Therefore, education on time management and healthy sleep patterns, as well as institutional support in creating a morpe conducive learning environment, is necessary.en_US
