dc.description.abstract | Rice is a strategic food commodity in realizing national food security. The dynamics that occur on the production side and the consumer side cause various classic problems to arise in the rice agro-industry in Indonesia. This study aims to analyze the influence of socio-economic factors on rice consumption and analyze the relationship between rice prices and community rice consumption. The method used is simple linear regression analysis and spearman correlation test. The results of the study indicate that the socio-economic factors of the community that influence rice consumption are the number of family dependents. A household with more family members tends to have a higher level of consumption compared to a household with fewer members, even with the same level of income. There is no correlation between the price of rice and people's rice consumption, because whatever the price of rice sold, it will remain the main choice for people's consumption. | en_US |
