dc.description.abstractThis study aims to determine and describe how the organization and revitalization of the Kabanjahe Traditional Market in Karo Regency. This research is important to be carried out to provide the benefit of understanding and a better picture to readers about the condition of the traditional market and its implementation that makes good service in the Kabanjahe Traditional Market in Karo Regency. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques are carried out by interviews, observations, literature studies and secondary data. This study focuses on the organization of management functions according to Henry Fayol (2012) and the organization of market revitalization. This study is more on planning issues. The informants of this study consisted of the Head of the Karo Regency Market Division, the Head of Data Collection, Registration and Retribution of Karo Regency, the Kabanjahe Traditional Market Coordinator, Kabanjahe Traditional Market traders and visitors to the Kabanjahe Traditional Market. The results of the study are as follows: first, there is a mismatch between the planning made and the conditions of the Kabanjahe Traditional Market traders. The planning is made in accordance with the Strategic Plan and Work Plan to improve the Kabanjahe market service. Second, the lack of coordination with traders in the market. In its implementation, the organization of market revitalization has three aspects, 1) Completion of infrastructure development, namely market conditions become uncomfortable and less suitable for traders and buyers. 2) Improving the quality of market facilities, namely market facilities are not repaired or left damaged, the cleanliness and comfort of the market will decrease. 3) Implementation of a professional and transparent management system, lack of openness of officers and good management.en_US
