dc.description.abstract | Problems in dense settlements are generally very little attention, especially in public spaces that accommodate various community activities in social interaction. This study aims to explore community interaction activities in open spaces in dense settlements in the Helvetia Tengah sub-district area. The method used is qualitative explorative using architectural ethnography and direct interviews related to types of users, facilities needed and community activities. This study found that the most common social activities carried out by adults (gathering, chatting), teenagers (discussions, hanging out), children (playing) are? The results of this study are expected to be a consideration in designing public open spaces for the Helvetia Tengah sub-district community.
