The prevalence of diabetes mellitus in Indonesia increased from 10.9% in 2018 to 11.7% in 2023. Controlling this disease to prevent complications can be achieved by enhancing self-efficacy and family support, both of which play a crucial role in the quality of life of diabetes patients. This study aims to analyze the infuence of self-efficacy and family support on the quality af life of diabetes mellitus patients. A cross-sectional research design was employed, involving 263 diabetes mellitus patients in Medan City, selected using accidental sampling. The research instrument was a questionnaire. Bivariate data analysis was conducted using the chi-square test, while multivariate analysis was performed using muitiple logistic regression. The results indicate that self-efficacy (p-value <0.001) and family support (p-value <0.001) significantly influence the quality of life of diabetes mellitus patients. The most dominant factor afecting the quality of life of type 2 diabetes mellitus patients was family support, with an Exp(B) value of 30.018. This means that patients with poor family support have a 30 times higher risk of experiencing a lower quality of life compared those with good family support. In conclusion, patients with low self-efficacy and inadequate family support have a 97.6% likelihood of experiencing a poor quality of life. It is recommended that families provide support to diabetes patients managing their condition, while patients should maintain self-efficacy to ensure a better quality of life
