| dc.description.abstract | Social and environmental responsibility is a company's obligation to contribute to community welfare and environmental sustainability in accordance with the provisions of laws and regulations so that PT PBUI, which operates in the field of or related to natural resources, has an obligation to implement TJSL. Thus, this study aims to determine the obstacles and challenges faced and analyze the implementation of TJSL by PT PBUI such as an analysis of the standardization of TJSL implementation along with its contribution to society and the surrounding environment.
The writing method used in this writing is empirical legal research using primary data in the form of interview data with stakeholders, namely the leadership of PT PBUI and the surrounding community using a combination of open interview methods to the Field Leader at PT PBUI and to 20 people in the community around the operational area of PT PBUI which aims to describe the object of research through primary data obtained from interviews and secondary data obtained from primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials, using a regulatory approach and a case approach, and using descriptive data analysis-deductive analysis.
The results of this study indicate that the implementation of TJSL by PT PBUI includes the process of preparation, discussion, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation of the implementation of TJSL by PT PBUI which refers to the provisions of laws and regulations but does not have company regulations regarding the preparation or mechanism for implementing TJSL by PT PBUI, there are no obstacles and challenges faced by PT PBUI in implementing TJSL, TJSL programs carried out by PT PBUI are based on socio-cultural aspects, education, and the environment, but does not implement TJSL programs in the field of health services. Thus, PT PBUI has essentially implemented compliance with laws and regulations in implementing its TJSL. However, it can be recommended that PT PBUI should have Company Regulations related to standardization in the implementation of TJSL, integrate the implementation of TJSL based on the provisions of laws and regulations, ISO 26000, and ESG, and implement other TJSL Programs in accordance with the expectations, criticisms, and suggestions from the surrounding community. | en_US |
