dc.description.abstract | Climate change impacts temperature increases, changes in rainfall patterns, sea level rise, and fluctuations in extreme climate events. BMKG noted that 2023 was the 2nd hottest year in Indonesia. Climate change has an impact on human life, especially on public health. Efforts to overcome climate change and its impacts can be done through adaptation and mitigation activities. It is important for the community, especially students, as agents of change, to have good knowledge, attitudes, and practice regarding climate change adaptation and mitigation as an effort to overcome climate change and its impacts. This study aims to analyse the knowledge, attitudes, and practice of university students regarding climate change adaptation and mitigation activities. This type of research is a descriptive survey. The population in this study were S-1 students of FKM USU batch 2022 and 2023 with a total of 684 students. The sampling technique used was Stratified Random Sampling with a sample of 87 students. The results showed that the majority of FKM USU students were female, which is 76%. The age of most students is 20 years old, which is 42,5%. The most widely used source of information is the internet, which is 77%. It is known that the majority of students have good knowledge, namely 56,3%, good attitudes are 65.5%, and less practice is 58,6%. It is recommended to the faculty to improve education by adding learning materials and providing space for students to channel the knowledge gained through learning projects related to climate change adaptation and mitigation. It is hoped that this can increase student knowledge and interest in carrying out climate change adaptation and mitigation activities. | en_US |
