Abstract
DHF is an endemic disease transmitted through the Aedes aegypti mosquito vector. This disease occurs in tropical regions, including Indonesia. Nursing care services for children with DHF must be carried out pharmacologically and non-pharmacologically to speed up children's hospitalization time. The management of pediatric nursing care was carried out in the Pediatric Inpatient Room of Prof. Dr. Chairuddin P. Lubis Hospital. Nursing care provided to An.AA who was diagnosed with dengue fever without warning signs was to reduce hyperthermy by intervening based on evidence-based nursing, namely plaster compresses, monitoring the risk of bleeding by monitoring laboratory results and providing education about effective body weight. Plaster compresses are applied to the forehead, armpit and groin areas for 30 minutes. Atraumatic care was performed on 12-year-old An.AA uses distraction techniques by watching videos that she likes. Conclusion There was a decrease in body temperature in An.AA after plaster compress therapy and the distraction technique of watching videos affected An.AA as seen from her calm response during hospitalization.
