dc.description.abstract | Epoxy in this pre-design is made by the In Situ Epoxidation process. This process is chosen through a review of the process safety, technical, and economic aspects considered more profitable, especially with the use of local raw materials, namely palm oleic acid. The In Situ Epoxidation Process occurs in two reactions, an Intermediate reaction to produce Peracetic acid and the main reaction to produce epoxy. The plant is designed with a production capacity of 5,000 Tons/Year by considering technical, economic, and safety aspects. The location of epoxy plant is planned to be built in Bojong Jaya, Karawaci District, Tangerang City, Banten, with a land area of 20,638 m2. This epoxy plant will operate for 330 days per year continuously 24 hours a day with 200 employees. The form of business entity in this epoxy plant pre-design is a Limited Liability Company (PT). The establishment and operation of the plant requires an investment capital of Rp 718,776,203,770 and a production cost of Rp 317,186,654,646 Based on the results of the economic analysis, this epoxy plant has a Profit Margin (PM) of 39.47%, Break Even Point (BEP) of 40.62%, Return on Investment (ROI) of 21.72%, Pay Out Time (POT) for 4.6 years Return on Net Worth (RONW) of 66.22%, and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 40.82%. From these results, it can be concluded that the pre-design of an epoxy manufacturing plant from palm oleic acid through the In Situ Epoxidation process with a capacity of 5,000 Tons/Year is feasible to be built. | en_US |
