Introduction Sweet arum mango leaves (Mangifera indica L.) are one of the potential natural ingredients as an antifungal because it has bioactive components like mangiferins, flavonoids, tannins, and saponins. The overall role of sweet arum mango leaf phytochemicals can suppress the growth of fungi from within the cell, thereby damaging membrane permeability, causing fungal lysis. Candida albicans is a normal flora microorganism in the oral cavity that can turn into a pathogen if there is a change in the oral environment. Treatment is carried out with alternative herbs, namely sweet arum mango leaf extract against Candida albicans from angular cheilitis patients.. Purpose of the study was determine the inhibitory power, inhibitory power differences, minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (MBC) of sweet arum mango leaf extract and Candida albicans colony forming units after giving the sweet arum mango leaf extract. Method is experimental laboratory post test only control group design. Inhibition testing using blank disk diffusion method with digital calipers, determination MIC and MBC dilution method. Preparation of extract by maceration method from each concentration added to fungal suspension, 4 repetitions and then observations were made. Parametric analysis using Oneway Anova Test and Post-hoc LSD test with a significance value of p<0.05, if the data obtained is not normally distributed and homogeneous, non parametric analysis with Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann Whitney test. The result of the study of the inhibition of sweet arum mango leaf extract concentrations of 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25% diameter 9,38 ± 0.433 mm, 10.63 ± 0.479 mm, 14.00 ± 1.061 mm, 18.69 ± 0.851 mm dan 21.188 ± 0.625. The effectiveness of sweet arum mango leaf extract of several concentrations against Candida albicans is MCI 5% and MBC 25% Conclusion sweet arum mango leaf extract effective against Candida albicans.en_US
