Dentures are brittle when falls on hard surface due to low impact strength. The addition of bagasse fiber powder is a solution to increase the impact strength. This study aims to determine the difference in impact strength of hot polymerized acrylic resin after adding 1% and 2%weight of bagasse fiber powder. The sample was a hot polymerized acrylic resin plate measuring 65x10x2mm with a sample size of 10 plates for each group, namely group I (without the addition of bagasse fiber powder), group II (addition of 1%weight of bagasse fiber powder), and group III (addition of 2%weight of bagasse fiber powder). Bagasse fiber was dried, alkalized using 17.5% NaOH, ground in a ball mill at a speed of 800rpm for 2 hours with an average particle size of 0.01-42.30μm. Bagasse fiber powder mixed with polymer and monomer until the dough stage. The ratio of fiber, polymer, and monomer for group II and group III was 0.09gr: 8.91gr: 4.5ml and 0.18gr: 8.82gr: 4.5ml. The dought took in a mould and pressed by a hydraulic press. The curing process at waterbath, then increased to 74°C for 2 hours, and continued to 100°C for 1 hour and polishing and impact strength measurements were carried out using the Charpy Impact Tester and One-Way Anova test for data analysis. The average and standard deviation results of impact strength for group I, group II, and group III were 1.75±0.3 KJ/mm2, 2.15±0.3 KJ/mm2, and 1.68±0.44 KJ/mm2. One-Way Anova test showed that there was a significant difference (p<0.05) with a p value = 0.016 in the impact strength of hot polymerized acrylic resin between group I, group II, and group III. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a difference in the impact strength of hot polymerized acrylic resin between group I, group II, and group III and there is an increase in the impact strength value in group II compared to other groups.en_US
