The achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia has not experienced a significant increase from year to year. In 2021, the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Indonesia was only 71.58 percent, while the achievement of exclusive breastfeeding in Dairi Regency was only 40.65 percent. According to the Ministry of Health (2023), one of the causes of the decline in the practice of exclusive breastfeeding is that working mothers do not give exclusive breastfeeding after the mother has completed her maternity leave.
