The Batang Kuis Watershed has a high potential for erosion; therefore, this study investigates the causes of erosion by calculating the erosion rate in the Batang Kuis Watershed. This research aims to obtain the predicted erosion rate, the tolerable erosion rate, and the erosion hazard level category using the Universal Soil Loss Equation (USLE) method. The study results indicate that the highest predicted erosion rate occurs in residential areas, with a value of tons/ha/year, while the lowest occurs in fishponds, with a value of tons/ha/year. The highest tolerable erosion rate is found in land with a value of tons/ha/year, while the lowest occurs in land with a value of tons/ha/year. The highest erosion hazard level is observed in residential areas, classified as an erosion risk class with a specific criterion, while the lowest is found in fishponds, with a value of 0.00, classified as risk class I with a light criterion.en_US
