dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this research was to determine the implementation of a social inclusion-based library program at the Library and Regional Archives Office of Tebing Tinggi City. The type of research used was qualitative with a descriptive approach. The data analysis used included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. The research informants consisted of nine individuals: one library employee, four librarians, and four community members living near the reading house. In this research, there are five indicators for implementing the social inclusion-based library program: building effective communication with the community, involving the community in the transformation process, disseminating information about the transformation, collaborating with other institutions, and demonstrating positive results from the transformation. The research results at the Library and Regional Archives Office of Tebing Tinggi City included activities such as fun learning, dancing, and visits by kindergarten and elementary school children to the library. Additionally, socialization activities, seminars, and group meetings with the community were held to determine what kind of social inclusion activities should be implemented. These activities aimed to increase children's reading interest, which had declined from 2019 to 2021. This led to the creation of effective social inclusion activities. The employees and librarians also effectively disseminated information through social media. The library had collaborated with several institutions and communities, and the librarians demonstrated the results and benefits of social inclusion activities. | en_US |
