The Relationship Between Elderly Exercise and Quality of Life Among the Elderly in Klambir V Kebun Village, Hamparan Perak District

One of the efforts to improve elderly health is through exercise activities that involve light movements, which can enhance the quality of life by maintaining the role and function of the elderly's organs and physical condition. Elderly exercise helps keep the body fit by strengthening bones, optimizing heart function, and reducing excessive free radicals in the body. This study employed a quantitative pre-experimental method, conducted in Klambir V Kebun Village, Hamparan Perak District, with a sample of 35 elderly individuals selected using total sampling. The measurement tool used was the Bref Version of the World Health Organization's Quality of Life Questionnaire (WHOQOL-BREF). The results showed that 19 elderly individuals (54.3%) who participated in exercise had a good quality of life, while 16 elderly individuals (45.7%) had a moderate quality of life. The test results showed a p-value of 0. 209. Thus, 11 can be concluded that there is a relationship between elderly exercise and the quality of life among the elderly.
