Dysmenorrhea is the most common discomfort complained by women who are menstruating. Dismemore occurs because An imbalance of the hormone progesterone in the blood can result the appearance of pain. Women with primary dysmenorrhea notice changes physiological and psychological which causes irritability, anxiety and pain so strong that it can cause disruption to daily activities. Wrong One non-pharmacological therapy to treat dysmenorrhea pain is technique guided imagery relaxation. The aim of this research is to find out How does guided imagery relaxation technique influence changes in intensity? menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea) in adolescent girls. This type of research is quasi-experiment with a one group pretest-posttest approach. Population in this research were class XI students at SMK Negeri 3 Rantau Utara There were 60 people who experienced dysmenorrhea. Number of sample s in total a total of 38 respondents using purposive sampling technique. Statistical test The test used is the paired sample t-test. The results of this research obtained value P value 0.000 < 0.05 (a < 0.05) which means there is an influence of guided relaxation techniques imagery on reducing the intensity of menstrual pain (dysmenorrhea). Conclusion This research shows that the guided imagery relaxation technique has The effect of reducing menstrual pain in female students at SMK Negeri 3 Rantau North. Suggestions for women who experience menstruation guided relaxation techniques imagery can be used as a non-pharmacological therapy for women who experiencing dysmenorrhea.
