This research discusses language style in the context of anime by focusing on the type of sarcasm and its function. The object of this research is the sentence utterances contained in the Japanese anime Attack On Titan. This study aims to describe the types of insinuating language styles contained in the Japanese anime Attack On Titan and analyze the function of the use of language styles contained in the Japanese anime Attack On Titan. This study explains the meaning and category of satirical language style found in the Attack on Titan anime and analyzes the application of satirical language style functions in the anime. This research uses qualitative descriptive method. The source of data in this research is the conversation between characters that contain sarcastic utterances in the Japanese anime Attack On Titan. The data is analyzed by classifying the types of sarcasm using Gorys Keraf's theory and identifying the function of using sarcasm. The results show that there are 42 examples of sarcasm in season 1 and season 2 of the anime Attack on Titan, which are grouped into 6 types. Hiniku wo Kometa Bujoku is the most frequently used type of sarcasm. The main purpose of using sarcasm is to emphasize and highlight certain elements in the anime narrative.
