Analisis Tindak Tutur Ilokusi Asertif Pidato Putri Mako di Konferensi Pers Terkait Pernikahannya dengan Kei Komuro (Kajian Pragmatik)

Abstract

This research discusses the assertive illocutionary speech acts in Princess Mako's speech at a press conference regarding her marriage to Kei Komuro. The aim of the research is to describe the forms, functions, and usage of assertive illocutionary speech acts in Princess Mako's speech. The data source used is the transcript of Princess Mako's speech at the press conference held on October 26, 2021. The research method employed is descriptive qualitative research method. The data collection method used is reading and note-taking technique. This study utilizes speech act theory. The research identified 6 instances of expressing opinions, 4 instances of defending opinions, 2 instances of stating reasons, 2 instances of expressing refusal, 3 instances of providing explanations, 3 instances of indicating, 5 instances of providing clarification, and 4 instances of delivering reports. All expressions in Princess Mako's speech are in the form of literal direct speech acts. Assertive illocutionary speech acts are used when expressing personal opinions, defending personal goals, expressing dissatisfaction, implying objections, regretting untrue accusations, indicating pride, expressing anger, and expressing gratitude.
