Pengalaman Ibu yang Memiliki Anak Infeksi Saluran Pernapasan Akut (ISPA) pada Usia Balita di Desa Paya Bakung Studi Fenomenologi

Abstract

A family is part of the medication and nursing care team. Family members will take care of the patients in turn, or they even sometimes di it together. In this case, the role of a mother is very important. Her job in taking care of her child ho suffers from ISPA includes knowing about what ISPA is, its causes, its signs and symptoms, its history, its complication and how to cure it, and how to take care of the child. She should also know how to take care as early as possible and how to prevent the disease. The objective of the research is to explore a mother's experience in taking care of her young child (about 0-5 years old) suffering from ISPA at Paya Bakung village, Hamparan Perak Sub-district. The research uses qualitative research method with descriptive phenomenological approach. There are five informants. The result of the research suggests that there are five themes: a mother's knowledge of ISPA, her way to take care of her child who suffers from ISPA, the causes of ISPA, what a mother feels when she finds out that her child suffers from ISPA, and what she expects from her child when the latter suffers from ISPA. It is recommended that the next researchers do their researches on mothers' experience in taking care of their children who suffer from ISPA deeply with longer duration in order to get good results.
