Bedside Handover is a handover carried out by nurses at the patient's bedside. The handover process in the inpatient room of Efarina Etaham Berastagi Hospital is still carried out traditionally, namely at the nurse station without direct involvement of clients and families at the client's bedside. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of bedside handover on nurse satisfaction in providing nursing care to patients at Efarina Etaham Berastagi Hospital. The method in this study was a quasi-experimental nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study was 135 respondents. The sampling technique in this study was consecutive sampling. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed-rank test and Mann Whitney. The results of the statistical test showed that the significance value of nurse satisfaction in the intervention group was obtained (p value = 0.000 <0.05), meaning that there was a significant difference in nurse satisfaction before the bedside handover intervention was carried out and after the bedside handover intervention was carried out. In the control group, the value was obtained (p value = 0.082> 0.05), meaning that there was no significant difference in nurse satisfaction before the handover intervention was carried out and after the handover intervention was carried out. The results of the Mann Whitney test showed that nurse satisfaction in the intervention group was higher than in the control group (p = 0.000) after the bedside handover intervention was carried out. The conclusion of this study is that there is an influence of bedside handover on nurse satisfaction in providing nursing care to patients at Efarina Etaham Berastagi Hospital.
