Health issues and diseases in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) often receive inadequate attention from residents, the community, and the government. This is primarily due to the insufficient implementation of clean and healthy living behaviors (PHBS). This study aims to identify the impact of PHBS education on health problems occurring in pesantren. Method: This research employs a Quasi- Experimental design with a Two Group Pretest and Posttest approach. The population comprises all male and female students at Pondok Pesantren An- Nabawi and Dayah Tarbiatul Muta'allimin. The sampling technique used is quota sampling, with 30 respondents in the intervention group and 30 in the control group. Results: Based on statistical tests using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank test, the p-value for knowledge, attitude, and behavior/actions was 0.000 < a = 0.05. This indicates a significant effect of PHBS education (knowledge, attitude, actions) on students before and after the intervention, leading to the rejection of HO and acceptance of Ha. In contrast, the control group showed no change in health issues as they did not receive PHBS education, with a p-value of 0.698> 0.05. Conclusion: The study concludes that knowledge, attitude, and behavior towards PHBS are generally lacking. Therefore, health workers are encouraged to continuously educate students on clean and healthy living behaviors.
