Dampak Pertemuan Peningkatan Kemampuan Keluarga (P2K2) dalam Memenuhi Kebutuhan Lanjut Usia Di Desa Kotasan

Abstract

Indonesia has entered the phase of an aging population structure since 2021, with the number of elderly people continuing to increase. The elderly often face social problems such as poverty, neglect, and lack of protection, so they require special attention. The Family Hope Program (PKH) is one of the government's efforts to reduce poverty, including among the elderly, by providing social assistance accompanied by educational activities in the form of Family Capacity Building Meetings (P2K2). P2K2 aims to increase family knowledge about elderly care, health, education, and family economic management. This study focuses on the impact of P2K2 in meeting the needs of the elderly in Kotasan Village. This study uses a qualitative approach. The results of the study show that P2K2 has a significant impact on meeting the physical, emotional, and social needs of the elderly. P2K2 activities carried out mobile every month not only provide education about elderly care, but also create space for the elderly to interact socially, share experiences, and improve their quality of life. The family plays an important role in caring for the elderly, by providing attention and supporting the physical and emotional needs of the elderly. P2K2 also provides support for the elderly who have difficulty attending through direct visits by companions.
