Implementation of Junior High School Library Management State 1 Tigapanah Karo Regency North Sumatra
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of library management at SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah, Karo Regency, North Sumatra. The type of research used in this study is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The scope of this study includes: Planning, Organizing, Budgeting, Leadership, Supervision. The location of the study was conducted at the Library of SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah located in Lambar Village, Tigapanah District, Karo Regency, North Sumatra, 22170. The results of the study indicate that library planning at SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah has been carried out well, this can be seen from the process of determining the vision, mission, objectives, analyzing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats, and the formulation of budget planning, library materials, and facilities and infrastructure as an initial step. Organization at the Library of SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah has been well established. This can be seen from the existence of a clearly arranged organizational structure in the library room. The principal occupies the top position, followed by the head of the library and the last is filled by the position of library staff. Budgeting in the Library of SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah has not been well established, this can be seen from the funds used in the library which still use BOS Funds and do not have special or additional funds. Leadership in SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah has been implemented well, this can be seen from the communication method used in the form of family communication and is carried out face to face. Supervision in SMP Negeri 1 Tigapanah has been carried out well, this can be seen from the routine supervision carried out by the head of the library on an ongoing basis
