| dc.description.abstract | This project aims to develop a prototype door security system based on face detection as the main authentication method. In the era of modern technology, security has become an important aspect in protecting physical access in various environments, whether at home, offices or other facilities. This system is designed to detect the face of a registered user to open the door automatically, thus providing convenience while increasing security. This prototype utilizes facial recognition technology by processing images taken via the camera. Using facial detection and recognition algorithms, the system will match the user's face with stored basic data. If the detected face matches the existing data, the door will open automatically; otherwise, the door will remain locked if the face is unknown. Thus, this system is able to provide better access protection compared to conventional systems based on physical keys or PINs. Testing of the system showed good accuracy in detecting and recognizing faces, despite several challenges such as lighting and facial angles. Therefore, this system has the potential to be implemented on a larger scale with some further development to improve performance and performance. | en_US |
