| dc.description.abstract | This writing aims to describe the evolution of Japanese video game in the international video game industry, exploring the history of video game development in Japan, and it’s effect on the international video game market. Bibliography writing method is used by collecting various references and data from video game books, articles from newspaper and magazines about video games, and also data from the internet. From the collected data, it’s been known that Japan is the house for a lot of famous video game companies such as Nintendo, SEGA, and Capcom, which has contributed in the evoluiton of the video game industry through innovation and overall high quality games. Other than that, this writing also shines light on how Japanese games overtake the international gaming market, supported by platforms such as Steam which eases distribution and access to outside of Japan. The effect of Japanese culture in the game industry is also touched upon, showing how elements from Japanese games has been adapted by game developers around the world. From historical analysis, distribution, and cultural effect, this writing concludes that Japan holds an important part in the evolution of international video game industry which it’s effects can still be seen in games that are released as of today. | en_US |
