The 2023 Indonesian Health Survey (SKI) reports that 0.5 percent of cancer patients have already been diagnosed, 1.8 percent of those aged 15-24 have diabetes mellitus (DM), 0.11 percent suffer from heart disease, and 0.3 percent have hypertension from ages 15-24. Non-communicable diseases (NCSs) in young ages are closely linked to unhealthy lifestyles. The primary causes of NCDs in adolescents include unhealthy living habits such as unbalanced diet, lack of physical activity, smoking, and alcohol consumption. These lifestyle patterns increase the risk of heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and stroke. This study aims to analyze the determinants of healthy lifestyles among adolescents in Medan City. The research was conducted at State Senior High Schools in Medan from May 2024 until completion. The study in quantitative with a cross-sectional design. The population consists of all students at State Senior High Scholls in Medan, totaling 7,679 adolescents, with a sample size of 334. Data were collected using questionnaires. Chi-square statistical test results show that knowledge, attitude, family support, and peer support significantly correlate with healthy lifestyles among adolescents (p,0,05). Logistic regression analysis indicates that attitude is the most dominant influencing factor. It is recommended that adolescents should improve their healthy lifestyles by reducing sedentary beahviour, limiting social gatherings, and increasing literacy related to knowledge about healthy living.
