Squid (Loligo sp.) is an economically important fishery commodity at the Belawan Ocean Fisheries Port (PPS), attracting many fishermen to exploit its resources. Squid fishing activities must be controlled to ensure the sustainability of squid resources in the Belawan PPS and optimize economic benefits. This research aims to determine the value of Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY), Maximum Economic Yield (MEY), utilization level (TPc), business level (TPf), and the number of squid catches allowed at the Belawan PPS. The research was carried out from February to April 2024 at PPS Belawan, North Sumatra Province. The Schaefer and Fox model was used to estimate Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY), while the Gordon-Schaefer model was applied for bioeconomic analysis of squid (Loligo sp.). The number of respondents was calculated using the Slovin formula with a confidence level of 90% through purposive sampling. Bioeconomic analysis using the Schaefer model shows a maximum sustainable potential of 722 tons with an optimal effort of 784 trips. To ensure the sustainability of squid (Loligo sp.) resources, it is necessary to limit fishing efforts and the number of bouke ami fishing vessels.
