One approach to enhancing the productivity of forage crops is by improving soil fertility through fertilization. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of bokashi fertilizer, derived from goat feces and Leucaena leucocephala (lamtoro) leaves, on the productivity of Setaria sphacelata grass, including parameters such as plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, number of tillers, and fresh biomass yield. The research was conducted from October 2023 to March 2024 at the Greenhouse and Field Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra. A Completely Randomized Design (CRD) was employed with four treatments: P0 = control (no treatment), P1 = bokashi at 10 tons/ha (200 g/polybag), P2 = bokashi at 20 tons/ha (400 g/polybag), and P3 = bokashi at 30 tons/ha (600 g/polybag), with each treatment replicated four times. The results indicated a significant effect on plant height, leaf length, leaf width, number of leaves, number of tillers, and fresh biomass production. The best results were obtained with P3, where bokashi was applied at a dose of 30 tons/ha (600 g/polybag).
