This study aims to examine whether self-esteem and social media addiction affect anxiety in adolescent girls. The study involved 398 female adolescents aged 15-18 years in Medan. The research method used is quantitative multiple regression, with data collected using scales, namely the Beck Anxiety Inventory by Beck et al. (1991) consisting of 21 items, the Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale by Rosenberg (1965) consisting of 10 items, and the Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale, adapted into the Social Media Addiction Scale by Napitupulu and Rangkuti (2023), consisting of 18 items. Based on the results, the R2 value is .236 with a p-value of .001 (p < .05). The findings indicate that self-esteem and social media addiction simultaneously influence anxiety in adolescent girls.en_US
