    Abstract
The research look at the effect of temperature and the effect of adding Fe3O4 Nanoparticles and Oleic Acid Surfctant to transformer oil. The research Shoud show that the addition of nanoparticles to each composition can increase the Partial Discharge voltage value of insulating oil. A mixture of Fe3O4 Nanoparticles an Oleic Acid Surfactant at a certain composition can increase the Partial Discharge voltage value of insulating oil which is higher than just adding Fe3O4 Nanoparticles. The addition of surfactant to the nanofluid avoids to presence of lumps of nanoparticles so that they are evenly distributen in the oil, so that the works of nanoparticles in capturing free electron is more efficient. The Partial Discharge voltage value will decrease as the temperature increases for both types of insulating oil. In new mineral oil, the highest Partial Discharge voltage increase value occurred in sample S8 at a temperature of 30℃, namely 8,200 kV with an increase percentage of 24.8%, while in used oil it was in sample S17 at a temperature of 30℃, namely 6,480 kV with an increase percentage of 43. 59%, where samples S8 and S17 both contain a mixture of 0.06 g/l Fe3O4 nanoparticles and 12 ml/l Oleic Acid surfactant.
