Design and Construction of a Monitoring System as an Early Warning for Low Voltage Connecting Panel Doors
Abstract
In an electric power distribution system, the security and reliability of the electricity supply are very important. Low-voltage switch panels are an important piece of equipment in a distribution system that requires proper protection and monitoring. Door from Low Voltage Cabinet (LVC) are the first and crucial part of physical security. When there is sabotage of equipment inside the LVC, it can cause damage and losses to the company in terms of materials and security. Designing a monitoring system tool as an early warning on ESP32-based LVC doors equipped with a Limit Switch Sensor and PIR (Passive Infrared Receiver) Sensor integrated with Blynk and Telegram in the design of an early warning monitoring system tool for LVC doors can achieve monitoring and better control of the LVC, which can increase the efficiency, reliability, and security of the electricity distribution system. Early warning notifications are carried out with the aim of reporting unauthorized access through a notification via telegram, which is received directly by supervisors, operators, and technicians. It is hoped that this will be able to minimize sabotage and take strategic steps to remotely control the LVC door using Blynk. With outstanding performance and low power consumption, the ESP32 supports wireless connections such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The results showed that the design of the monitoring system device as an early warning on the LVC door is capable of monitoring at a voltage of 2.2 Volt with a delay in message delivery of 0.5 seconds. The door of the LVC can be monitored using the telegram app and Blynk through direct monitoring from a smartphone or website.
