dc.description.abstractPT. ASDP Indonesian Ferry is an Indonesian state-owned company (BUMN) engaged in sea transportation Occupational Safety and Health (K3) in the shipping environment is a preventive measure that must be implemented due to the risk of danger at sea which can befall workers at any time. in a ship while sailing, The formulation of the problem in this thesis is: How is the regulation regarding the responsibility of the shipping company PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) for the safety and health of workers at sea, how is the implementation of protection for the safety and health of workers on the shipping of PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) at sea, how to settle compensation if seafarers experience work risks on the shipping of PT. ASDP Ferry Indonesia Singkil Branch. Furthermore, the data analysis used in this research is qualitative data analysis The method used in this thesis research is normative legal research assisted with empirical data, which is descriptive in nature. The resources used consist of secondary data and are supported by primary legal materials, secondary legal materials and tertiary legal materials. Writing research through regulations and legal materials related to this research. The results of the study explain that the regulation of the responsibility of the shipping company PT.ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) for the safety and health of workers at sea is guided by Law Number 17 of 2008 concerning shipping which confirms in article 337 that "manpower provisions in the shipping sector are carried out in accordance with laws and regulations in the field of manpower” so that Law Number 13 of 2003 concerning manpower applies. The implementation of occupational safety and health protection at PT. AlSDP Indonesian Ferry Singkil Branch has not been maximally implemented because PT. ASDP Singkil Branch has not independently had its own port Although there is no OSH special division as well as supervision by OSH experts in the ASDP Cabang Singkil environment, however, PT. ASDP Singkil Branch is still responsible for providing facilities in the form of Employment BPJS, Social Security, and Mandiri InHealth Insurance to marine workers. The company is absolutely and completely responsible without reducing rights such as salary or wage deductions to ensure the safety and health of workers at sea.en_US
