    Abstract
    In the development and progress of the nation, the younger generation has a very vital role, this is because the younger generation is the driving force and leader of a nation in the future. Every young generation experiences a transitional period that will be very vulnerable to their development both physically, mentally, and socially, this period is called the adolescent phase. But lately, crime and juvenile delinquency, which are the milestones of Indonesia's progress, have experienced an increasing trend. Therefore, the need for an active role in efforts to minimize the number of juvenile delinquenc. Things that can be done is to develop every potential owned in a positive direction. Pematangsiantar City is a civilized city based on togetherness in building and fostering its young generation. But in the situation in the field, there are still very inadequate public facilities that can function to accommodate and encourage the potential for positive youth activities. Therefore, the need for a container that can be used publicly which not only functions as a recreation area but also as a place to increase the potential and abilities possessed in a positive direction which is proclaimed to reduce juvenile delinquency and criminality in Pematangsiantar City, which can be in the form of designing a Youth Center. In order to achieve maximum comfort and use by visitors, users, and staff, the design will use the theme of tropical architecture as a form of answer related to the problems that exist on the site. In research and design, the methods used are case studies, direct research and strategic analysis, where research and design begin with determining the function and space requirements, then looking for sites and problems that exist on the site, and finally by applying architectural principles that can support the given concept.
