dc.description.abstractPT.PLN (Persero) P3B SUMATERA Kualanamu Substation. Lightning arresters function to channel excess voltage so as not to interfere with and damage equipment. This study was conducted because there has been no research on lightning arresters that are more than 10 years old at the Kualanamu Substation. The method used in this study is a quantitative method. The variables needed are leakage current data at the Kualanamu Substation in 2022-2023. The research procedure is a literature study, collection of leakage current data, analysis of arrester performance, analyzing test results, follow-up. lightning arrester performance is based on leakage current measured using the Leakage Current Monitor by comparing it with the standards determined by PLN. While the age limit of the lightning arrester is calculated using a linear regression equation. Based on the analysis carried out, 100% of the arrester performance at the Kualanamu substation is in good condition and is suitable for operation because it is still below the standarden_US
