    Design and Implementation of Temperature and Electricity Monitoring Device Based on Internet of Things for Three-Phase Motors in Sunggal Water Treatment Factory

    Abstract
    Electric motor is an electromagnetic device that functions as a conversion tool that converts electrical energy into mechanical energy. Currently, the most widely used way to see electricity usage in electric motors is through a measurement panel or direct measurement with an electrical measuring instrument. However, this tool cannot provide detailed electrical information. Therefore, an electrical monitoring tool is needed for electric motors in a factory or industry that can display electricity usage in more detail and can be monitored remotely. One sensor that can be used to monitor electricity is the PZEM- 004T sensor which the author also used in this research. The temperature of an induction motor can also affect the life of the electric motor. If the electric motor continues to experience high temperatures, it will cause the windings on the electric motor to be damaged and the electric motor can stop working. Therefore, we also need a tool that can monitor the temperature of the electric motor so that we can anticipate the risk of damage to the electric motor if the temperature rises too high. An example of a sensor that can be used to monitor temperature is the DS18B20 sensor. This research was carried out to create a three-phase electric motor monitoring tool that can monitor the temperature and electricity on the motor in real time via smartphone using an application called Blynk. This 3-phase motor temperature and electrical monitoring tool will later be tested for hydrant pump motors located in Instalasi Pengolahan Air Sunggal PDAM Tirtanadi. The test results will be compared with Clamp Meter and thermogun measuring instruments to see how precision of the monitoring tool that has been created. From the test results, the total error for the voltages of the three phases is 0.15%. The total error for the three phases of electric current is 1.97%. Meanwhile, for the temperature monitoring tool, the average overall error value of the temperature monitoring tool was 1.13%, with the highest error value being 1.46% and the smallest error value being 0.87%. The Blynk application used can be used well and can display measurement results by sensors clearly. The accuracy resulting from the PZEM-004T sensor and DS18B20 sensor is quite good.
