The Influence of One's Private Network, Finansial Literacy, Financial Awareness, and Trust on Stock Market Participation Among Investors in The City of Medan
Abstract
This study aims to analyze the influence of one's private network, financial literacy, financial awareness, and trust, on stock network, financial literacy, financial awareness, and trust, on stock market participation for investors in Medan city. The population in this study were all stock investors in Medan city, which amounted to 113,659 investors. From this population, a sample of 270 investors was taken through purposive sampling technique. This research was conducted in three main locations, namely the North Sumatra Representative Office of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI), BNI Sekuritas Medan, and the University of North Sumatra. Data analysis was carried out using the Multiple Linear Regression Analysis method to see the relationship and influence between the independent variable and the dependent variable. The results showed that the variables of one's private network, financial literacy, and trust have a positive and significant effect on stock market participation on investors in Medan city. Meanwhile, the financial awareness variable does not show a significant effect on stock market participation among investors in Medan city.
