Faktor-Faktor yang Mempengaruhi Angka Putus Sekolah pada Anak di Desa Aek Popo Kecamatan Merek Kabupaten Karo

Abstract

This study discusses the determining factors for children dropping out of school in Aek Popo Village, Merek District. Law No. 20 of 2003, Article 1,paragraph 1,states that education is a conscious and planned effort to create a learning atmosphere and learning processes so that students actively develop their potential to have spiritual religious strength, self-control, personality, intelligence,noble character and skills that are useful for the nation and state. This study will use a qualitative descriptive research approach method that is carried out to answer questions related to the status of the research object at the time the research was conducted, or in other words, to inform the situation as it is. This study focuses on what factors are the reasons for children to drop out of school, the factors in question are internal factors and external factors. Internal factors are 1) thinking ability, 2) health and nutrition, 3) dislike ofschool. while external factors are 1)family economic factors, 2) school policy system factors, 3) school conditions, 4)residential environment. academic, social, and emotional children, as well as reducing the negative stigma against children with special needs in society. In its implementation, education in Aek Popo village is still constrained by facilities and infrastructure, therefore moral and moral assistance is still needed for the development of better education
