dc.description.abstractSince the KSPN level of Lake Toba was designated as a Super Priority Tourism Destination (DPSP), tourism development in Indonesia is expected to focus more on improving and creating a sustainable tourism ecosystem. The accessibility of an area can be seen from the connectivity of the road network that connects it with other areas because of the availability of various socio-economic activity facilities that encourage regional development so that public facilities appear as a result of regional development. This study aims to analyze the carrying capacity of the existing Medan - Brastagi - Merek - Simarjarunjung - Danau Toba Road as transportation access in supporting economic and tourism activities, to analyze the influence of tourism development directly affecting regional development and to analyze the influence of the role of infrastructure development for the Medan - Brastagi - Merek - Simarjarunjung - Danau Toba road. Brands in moderating the influence of tourism development on regional development in support of the Lake Toba KSPN. The method used in this study is quantitative with an interactive model and combines several units of analysis according to the formulation of the problem. The results of the study explain that the carrying capacity of the Medan - Brastagi - Merek - Simarjarunjung - Danau Toba Existing Road Section as transportation access in supporting economic and tourism activities in the Lake Toba National Tourism Strategic Area from the perspective of the user community is generally in the good rating category. In addition, the development of tourism in the Lake Toba National Super Priority Destination directly affects regional development. As well as the development of tourism in the Lake Toba National Super Priority Destination indirectly through the development of the Medan - Brastagi - Merek - Simarjarunjung - Danau Toba road infrastructure has a stronger influence on regional development in Karo Regency.en_US
