Comparative Analysis of Male and Female Labor Flows in Organic and Inorganic Rice Farming
Abstract
“The aim of this study is to analyze the labor input of male and female workers in organic and non-organic rice farming, as well as the factors influencing labor input and the factors that affect the percentage of female labor in both organic and non-organic rice farming. This analysis uses linear regression and Tobit regression methods to determine the extent of influence of independent variables on the dependent variable and to predict the value of the dependent variable when all independent variables are known. The factors affecting labor input and the percentage of female labor in the model include age, experience, dependents, land area, and gender. The results of the analysis show that the labor requirement (HOK) for organic rice farming is 23.16 HOK, while for non-organic rice farming, it is 20.83 HOK, with female labor constituting 69% and 42%, respectively. The variables that significantly affect labor input are land area, while the variables that significantly influence the percentage of female labor are experience and land area.”
